He is an American football player who played professional soccer in the North American Soccer League. He was the first player to score 100 goals in an international competition and he holds the world record for the number of appearances by a player in FIFA World Cup finals matches. Pele has been nicknamed &#8220;the king&#8221; and is considered by many to be the greatest footballer ever and of course he wore the lucky number ten.<\/p>\n<h2>Diego Maradona<\/h2>\n<p>Diego Maradona was born in Argentina on July 26, 1960. He played professional soccer for 17 years before retiring at age 40. During his career, he won the 1986 World Cup with the Argentine national team. He also won the 1987 European Championship and two UEFA Cups with Barcelona. He was named FIFA Player of the Year in 1985 and 1986. His position is attacking midfielder, but he can also operate as a striker, winger or central forward. After playing club football in Europe for several seasons, including spells at Paris Saint Germain and Milan, Ronaldinho returned home to Brazil during the summer of 2004 to join Santos FC; however, after only six months at the Brazilian club, he moved back to France where he joined Ligue 1 side Monaco F\u00e9minin. In 2007, following a disappointing season at ACF Fiorentina, he signed for Barcelona for \u20ac25 million, becoming one of the highest-paid athletes in history.\u00a0 But, his career went on a downward spiral ever since he left the football club.
